Meet the Team!
Get Involved Palo Alto is proud to welcome another brave and talented group of interns to the team. Take a look at their short biographies and see what we mean! We look forward to seeing their achievements in the Zero Waste Internship, the Data Analysis Internship, the Energy Auditing internship, and the President's Award Committee internship.
Navid Najmabadi (Zero Waste Intern) is a freshmen at Palo Alto High School who has already volunteered at the YMCA where he helped take care of young children and Acterra where he helped clean up preserves. Navid recently earned his Referee license and has been Refereeing youth soccer. He looks forward to helping out with the Zero Waste Projects.
Hannah Pan (Zero Waste Intern) is a sophomore at Palo Alto High School. Outside of school, she enjoys organizing events and volunteering for Red Cross. Additionally, she also enjoys participating in DECA events and Cross Country. Through her internship, she hope to change her community in positive ways.
Leila W. Tjiang (Zero Waste Intern) is a sophomore at Palo Alto High School. She likes to spend time on schoolwork, her independent psychology research project, and with family and friends. Environmental sustainability has always been a central part to Leila's life and she looks forward to expanding her current efforts through the Zero Waste Internship.
Nancy Yang (Zero Waste Intern) is a junior at Palo Alto High School. Her favorite subject in school is biology and she hopes to continue in the sciences after high school. Her favorite extracurricular is volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House because she really enjoys working with children and watching them explore the world around them.
Annalise Wang (PAUSD Data Analyst Intern) is a junior at Palo Alto High School and loves the sciences and arts. She especially likes writing for the school newspaper, The Campanile. Outside of school, she participates in track & field and loves the competition and character-building skills one hones in that sport. She is enthusiastic, kind, and always willing to help out with a project.
Catherine Davidson (PAUSD Energy Auditing Intern) is a senior at Palo Alto High School. She has always loved nature, and often attends city council meetings to speak out against abuses to natural resources and to advocate for conservation efforts. She plans to pursue her interest in Environmental Science and Biology in college, and hopes to make a tangible impact on global environmental causes.
Aidan Maese-Czeropski (President's Award Committee Intern) is a junior at Palo Alto High School. He likes politics and has attended numerous Model UN Conferences. He is also a part of two school publications, Proof Magazine and the Paly Voice. Aidan is a current intern at ClickPA and has interned at the Boys & Girls Club. In the future he hopes to major in International Relations and work for the United Nations.
Leili Najmabadi (President's Award Committee Intern) is a senior at Palo Alto High School. She spends a lot of time volunteering at El Camino Hospital, Stanford Blood Center, and Reading Partners. Leili also plays the piano, does yoga, reads, and watches old movies for fun. She is passionate about humanitarian causes and plans on studying neuroscience or human development in the future.
Allison Shih (President's Award Committee Intern) is a junior at Palo Alto High School. She is a figure skater and has been skating for nine years. Since freshmen year, she has been doing community service as a musician, assistant/helper, and a translator. She went to Mexico during the summer of last year where she helped serve food, painted a house, and spent time doing activities with kids.
Ria Vora (President's Award Committee Intern) is a freshman at Palo Alto High School. She published a book when she was 12 and is currently running and managing her own 3D printing business at home. Ria likes to be creative write, innovate, and be an entrepreneur. Her hobbies are volleyball, singing, and Indian dancing. She currently has a job at Sparkiverse, an afterschool program.
Micaela Wong (President's Award Committed Intern) is is a freshman at Palo Alto High School. She currently is part of the Palo Alto Library Teen Advisory Board. Micaela plays soccer and enjoys the competitive aspect of it as well as the teamwork it encourages. In her free time, Micaela can be found gardening, watching movies, reading a good book, and eating popcorn.
