NFL Replay Communicator
Terri Valenti became the first professional female football official in the United States when she began officiating for the United Football League in 2009 and is currently in her 5th season of officiating. She began officiating at a youth football league in 1999 and has since officiated at all levels of football ranging from youth to college Division I to professional.
Currently, she is working as the Replay Communicator for the San Francisco 49er’s and is also an on-field for the AFL. Previously, she held the position of Alternate Game Clock Operator for the 49er’s. Terri has also officiated on the global level, working in both Italy and China. She is in the process of becoming the Assistant Supervisor of Officials for the Chinese American Football League (CAFL).
Before pursuing her career as a football officiator, Terri worked as an engineer. Terri earned her BS in Engineering Science from the University of Florida, and an MS in Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford.
