Google Driverless Car
Jaime Waydo works at Google[x] as the lead Systems Engineer on the self-driving car program. Before joining Google she was the Director of Engineering at Translucent Medical, where she helped transform the way physicians "see" inside patients during surgery.
Much of her earlier career was spent at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA, where highlights included leading the rover mobility mechanical team for the Mars Science Laboratory mission.
Jaime earned her Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University in 2000. She also completed her Master's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UCLA in 2006.
Raj has 20+ years of experience building software. He is currently working as a mobile software architect at Magnet. Systems INC. (Palo Alto). Prior to Magnet Systems, INC, Raj has worked at Telenav. Inc.(NASDAQ:TNAV) which builds personalized GPS Navigation products. At Telenav he was the mobile architect for the flagship SCOUT product. His overall experience in building different types of software and platforms, has led him to develop an expertise in many different programming languages like C, C++, Java , Objective-C and more.
Raj has earned an M.S in Computer Science specializing in software security from UOL (University of Liverpool, UK).
Fun facts: When not working on computer, you will find him playing electric guitar(playing progressive rock & heavy metal).
Tesla Project Manager
Sendil Palani is currently a Program Manager for Tesla’s Manufacturing and Operations function, in which he helps plan how Tesla will grow its production capacity and who will perform the different manufacturing activities associated with a Model S. Sendil had previously worked on Tesla’s Finance team, helping to hit cost targets for the Tesla Roadster and Model S and working on Tesla’s IPO.
While in graduate school (in between his stints at Tesla) he worked briefly at General Electric, Google, and Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers. Sendil began his career as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co. in New York City. He originally grew up in Chicago, and doesn’t miss it in the winter
Sendil holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a B.Sc. in Economics (Finance) from the University of Pennsylvania, and a MBA and Masters in Environment and Resources from Stanford University.
